We give you all the tools to make your dog sparkle or at least smell great! It allows you to have a hands-on experience with your dog and leave the mess here. You won't have to clean the bathroom ceiling or chase him around the yard with a hose. All you need to bring is the dog. OH, And it's dirt cheap.

August 14th, 7-9 pm
Lofty Dog 403 W. 2nd Street, Austin TX 78701
We're partnering with Lofty Dog for a monthly fundraising Happy Hour that will benefit local charities. For a donation of $10 you will receive a signature drink sponsored by Austin's own Tito's Vodka (Thanks, Tito!!) and your pup will receive a mani/pedi. Lucky Mutts will be this month's featured charity. Your dog needs to have his/her nails trimmed monthly and God knows we could use a drink, so come on out! Non-alcoholics beverages will also be available, along with plenty of fresh, clean water "straight up" for the pups!
help us, help them

After Katrina, we received an amazing amount of offers from people to take in people's pets temporarily while they figured out what they were going to do. Our hope is that those same people, as well as anyone else, will consider being a temporary foster home for some very special pets in need. The following is from Tara, one of our beloved groomers and trainer extraordinaire:
Austin Pets Alive & Training by Tara have partnered to rescue dogs in danger at TLAC. With the tremendous amount of dogs brought in to the shelter, and limited space, they just can't keep up! You can help! APA is looking for foster homes for these unfortunate dogs. Some of them are in danger because they are the wrong color, too young to hold because of space, or simply not a "quick" adoption candidate. If you can open your home for 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month; to try and help us help them we can make a tremendous difference and possibly not hit the 14,000 mark that TLAC had to euthanize last year. We have already pulled a minimum of 50 dogs in the last 2 weeks. We only have a handful of fosters. These dogs are going to our off site adoption locations where they are getting adopted quickly! Please, if you can help, contact either Palmerneuhaus@aol.com (foster director) or myheart4k9s@aol.com (Tara).
